Add a CommentLewis has done well after the death of his mentor, Morse. Great series.......
Terrific stuff as you would expect from this fine British crime series. The first episode was a little bit of a disappointment but the remaining ones more than made up for it. Four stars is what Inspector Lewis merits.
Absolutely love this series, great acting and great plots. Great location too, Kevin and Laurence work well together as Lewis and Hathaway.
Ridiculous plot that adopted siblings who have inherited a rare but fatal disease should start going around murdering everyone that had a hand in their history. Kevin Whately is wonderful as Lewis but he has more lines on his forehead that Tennessee has backyard stills.
Intricate police dramas that were not of ordinary social crimes but committed by members within the sheltered Oxford community. Thank goodness for captions for the "listening" impaired when it comes to Oxford English. The Oxford grad side kick Hathaway was full of surprises with his occasional erudite spiels.
Whether it's Morse, Lewis, the gang from New Tricks, Midsommer county or any of the others I just can't get enough of the British detective/murder/mystery genre. Thank you to the library for ensuring we have these on loan! What is it that intrigues us so? Could be the non-gratuitous use of blood, sex, violence and car chases.
